Main Range National Park - Spicers Gap Camp Site

Located about 110km south-west of Brisbane

Conventional vehicle access is via the Spicer’s Gap Road, which leaves the Cunningham Highway 5km west of Aratula. Unsuitable for buses or campervans.

The camping area is set in a clearing on the eastern side of the Gap. Campsites are walk-in only. Car parking areas are located only a short distance from each campsite node. Camper trailers are welcome to set up in the car parking areas provided.

Fuel stoves are required for cooking, as barbeques are not provided.

Elevated barbeques and braziers that use heat beads are welcome, providing that the ground is protected from coals and burning embers that will damage the grass cover.

Facilities available include composting toilets and limited tap water. Boil or chemically treat all tap water before drinking. No bins are provided; visitors are asked to take their rubbish with them.

Please note that generators are not permitted in the camping area.

A maximum of 50 campers are allowed at any one time. Campers are welcome to set up anywhere within the mown area on a 'first in first served' basis, as sites are not individually numbered.

Bookings - Campers may make bookings on-line all year round.

Self-registration - This option is NOT available for the Easter, Anzac Day, May and June long weekends. Online bookings must be made for all camping during the above periods.
