Porcupine Gorge National Park Camp Site

Pyramid campground has 22 sites and basic facilities. Some campsites have wheelchair accessible picnic tables, see table below for descriptions of individual campsites.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.

Campground features: Situated in the upper level of the gorge, the campground is the starting point for the 2.4 km return Pyramid track that leads down into the gorge.

Location: 500m from the park entrance and 2.5km from Mount Emu Plains Road.

Access: When dry, the campground can be reached by conventional vehicles as well as trailers, caravans and buses, with care.

Number of sites: 22 numbered sites, including 9 e-permit sites (online booking) and 13 self-registration sites. E-permit sites (online booking)

Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car, caravans, camper trailers, small and large motorhomes, large groups. Refer to tables above for details.

Campsite surface: Dirt.

Facilities: Composting toilets, picnic tables.

Open fires: Not allowed. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: Not allowed.

Essentials to bring: Drinking water, fuel or gas stove and rubbish bags.
