Lerderderg State Park Camp Site Take the Western Freeway and approach the park (Melway Key Map: 7) via: Greendale-Trentham Road and O'Brien's Road for O'Brien's Crossing OR Bacchus Marsh-Gisborne Road and Lerderderg Gorge Road for Mackenzie's Flat picnic area OR Blackwood, then Golden Point Road for Shaw's Lake. There are picnic areas with fireplaces at O'Brien's Crossing, Shaw's Lake and Mackenzie's Flat (electric barbecues). Camping is allowed at O'Brien's Crossing and elsewhere, although there are no facilities Limited car parking is available at O'Brien's Crossing and campers are required to walk to camp sites.
