Caravan Parks, NSW
Wyong is about 90km north of Sydney’s CBD, near the western shore of beautiful Tuggerah Lake. This area was opened up to timber cutters in 1887 when the railway arrived and, with this economical way of transporting their wood to encourage them, the loggers moved with a vengeance into what are now the Ourimbah and Olney State Forests to the west and caused devastation with their axes and saws.
But the hinterland has some pleasant walks and sightseeing opportunities for the visitor. The lake is fine for swimming, boating and fishing. The local racetrack is a favourite, hosting horse, greyhound racing, and trotting
