Lock Caravan Parks, SA

605km north-west of Adelaide, Lock is a small town servicing local sheep and grain farmers. The Lock Heritage Museum’s collection of old armaments, farming equipment and photographs is housed in the town’s original police station.

Because of its location, Lock is a central base for exploring the peninsula’s chain of popular coastal resorts. The 37,845ha Hambridge Conservation Park to the north of Lock and Hincks Conservation Park, which preserves 66,285ha south of the town, both reflect the arid, mallee and dune systems which dominate this part of the state.
