Wilmington
Caravan Parks, SA
Wilmington is 290km north of Adelaide. The town has some interesting colonial
buildings including the original police station (1880) which is now a private
residence and some old coaching stables behind the Wilmington Hotel. The Beautiful
Valley Aussie Relic Museum is well worth a visit.
Coaching stables still stand behind the local pub which dates back to 1850.
Hancock’s Lookout, with its stunning views of Spencer Gulf, is just
7m out of town on the road to Port Augusta which winds through the Horrocks
Pass. A 13km drive takes you to Mt Remarkable National Park. The park is graced
with crystalline mountain pools, Mambray Creek and spectacular Alligator Gorge.
