This recreation area has natural areas rocky foreshores and sandy beaches and human-made features, notably Trial Bay Gaol, which is on the Register of the National Estate. Stroll through the museum, explore the ruins, relax on the beaches, walkl over Monument Hill to the Little Bay picnic area, or enjoy the spectacular walk from the picnic area to the historic Smoky Cape Lighthouse in Hat Head National Park.
