The Big Pineapple was erected in 1971, stands at 16 metres high, and was heritage listed by the Queensland government in 2009.

Bringing glitz and glam to Tully, The Golden Gumboot was given to the town in 2003 for being the wettest in Australia. It stands at 7.9 metres high, which represents the the town's record annual rainfall recorded in 1950.

THE BIG MERINO
Goulburn, NSW

The Big Merino was originally built over a six month period in 1985 by local tradesmen. It stood on the highway which by-passed the NSW wool town, but was moved to the Hume Freeway in 2007 to attract more passers-by. It's the biggest Merino in the world, standing 15.2 meters high and weighing in at 97 tonne.

This beer can is so big, it made it into the Guinness Book of Records in 1991, putting the tiny town of Cobar on the map. It is five metres tall, but more impressive is the fact that it would fit 10, 000 schooners of beer if filled - that's more glasses of beer then there are townspeople.
