Bangalow,
NSW
Bangalow is a market town, 780 Kilometres north of Sydney lying between Lismore
and Byron Bay on the north coast of NSW. Its Heritage-listed main street is
an arts and crafts bazaar. Village markets are held on every fourth Sunday.
Bangalow is at the centre of traditional dairy country, but sugar and, more recently, coffee have broadened the regional economic base. Although the ancient rainforest of the Big Scrub which once dominated the landscape between Ballina, Lismore and Mullumbimby has long gone, pockets of rainforest do remain. You’ll find examples of native rainforest on the Byron Creek walking track.
