Braidwood, NSW

Historic gold town with many of its early Georgian buildings still in evidence. Dr Thomas Braidwood Wilson received one of the early land grants and the town was laid out in 1839.

The Southern Tablelands town of Braidwood is above the NSW South Coast, halfway between Canberra and Batemans Bay on the Kings Highway.  An historic gold town built on the side of a gentle hill. The town has some popular country art and craft style shops that attract many visitors on the weekends,  Local activities include a beautiful nine hole golf course, tennis and squash courts, swimming pool, racecourse and bushwalking.
