Crookwell,
NSW
This twon is famous for its seed potato crops, the largest supplier in the
country. This is due to the ideal very cold climate of the region and rich
soils. The site was first known as Kiama but was changed to Crookwell when
surveyed in 1860 because the river on which it stands had been known by that
name for many years.
