A 2km drive out of the town takes the visitor to the Rainforest Centre’s wheelchair-friendly Skywalk and the Walk with the Birds platforms which present tree-top view of the forest that gives sanctuary to a variety of native animals including that voracious hunter, the spotted-tailed quoll. You can picnic with brush turkeys in the Glade and the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre and cafe are open daily.

A pretty timber town surrounded by mountains. Dorrigo National Park contains the only remains of Dorrigo Scrub. Streams tumble down the slopes over a dozen waterfalls including Crystal Shower and Tristania.
