A thriving market town which began in 1860 with a gold rush. In the cemetery are bushranger Ben Hall, Kate Foster, who was Ned Kelly’s sister and Rebecca Shield, great grand-niece of Captain Cook.
| Forbes is situated along the Lachlan River, in the heart of the Lachlan Valley. The area is located 360 kilometres west of Sydney.
