Narromine,

Narromine is the main town of the area, with Trangie 34km to the West, and
the village of Tomingley 38km to the South. The area is renowned for the quality
and quantity of its agricultural production, so it is no surprise that wheat,
cotton, citrus, cattle, fat lambs, corn, barley, oats, sorghum, and lucerne.
Narromine attractions include the Narromine Aerodrome, Narromine Aviation
Museum, the Macquarie River and its reserves, Swane’s Rose Nursery,
the Narromine Iris Farm, Goobang National Park.
In 1898 this town was described as among the most prosperous in the west. Irrigated plains growing citrus and wheat. Cattle and sheep.
