Walla
Walla, NSW
In 1868, a group of 56 Lutherans set out form SA's Barossa Valley to discover
new fertile lands. The town of Walla Walla was the result of their settlement
in this area. The lutheran influence is still there today with churches and
colleges.
The
dominant building is Zion Church built in 1924 and claimed to be the largest
of the denomination in New South Wales. To the north is Morgan’s Rock
which the bushranger used as a lookout because it’s the only high place
in many kilometers of flat landscape.
