Bega

Famous for its cheese for more than a century. Settlers in the 1830’s established a settlement on the opposite of the Bega River and moved across the river to higher ground after being flooded out. St John’s Anglican Church dates back to 1878 designed by Edmund Blacket.

The town of Bega is 170km south of Batemans Bay. A long bridge surrounds the coastal town famous for cheese making.
