in the area.

Evans Head is a snug resort town on the northern NSW coast. The town, which is also the centre of the state’s prawning industry, has safe surf beaches and sandy river flats. It is a very popular fishing spot and every July hosts one of NSW’s richest competitions, the Evans Head Fishing Classic. If you are an absolute dummy when it comes to dangling a line, you can still be assured of a fresh seafood meal at a restaurant which is owned and run by the experts - members of the local trawler fishermen's co-operative
