This old gold town is built on the eteep hills of the Turon Valley. The old
iron foot bridge wa moved from Bathurst to Sofala in 1882.
Steep hills of the Turon valley rise sharply above this colourful old gold town. The quaint store is a lace ironwork delight and the Royal is the only hotel that remains of the original 40.
