About
20 kilometres north of Kadina - the Yorke Peninsula’s largest town -
Alford is a small village to the north of South Australia’s ‘Little
Cornwall,’ which is framed in a triangle formed by Kadina, Wallaroo
and Moonta.
The heritage is celebrated in Kadina in May in every odd calendar year with
Kernewek Lowender - the world’s largest festival of Cornish food, song
and music. Kadina also boasts the multiple award-winning Banking & Currency
Museum, which houses a rare collection of coins, notes and minting and banking
memorabilia.
