Victor Harbour has long been a playground for generations of the Adelaide
social set. In recent years, however, its appeal has spread as world travellers
have ‘discovered’ this resort on the southern shores of the Fleurieu
Peninsula.
Leading town on the south coast and popular holiday destination. The predominant landmark is Rosetta Head, a rocky outcrop overlooking Encounter Bay. Granite Island is connected by a causeway which carries a train during summer. A Petticoat Lane Fair is held during the Australia Day Weekend.
