Eaglehawk
Neck is located in SE Tasmania on the Tasman Peninsula approx. 75 km from
Hobart. It has some great surf beaches. Eaglehawk Neck is the gateway to the
historic Tasman Peninsula.
Strip of land less than 100m wide connecting Forestier and Tasman peninsulas and once guarded by one of the most effective security systems devised making escape for Port Arthur prisoners very risky.
