Hamilton is a small town in Tasmania's Derwent Valley on the Clyde River.
The Hamilton Sheep Centre has regular sheep shearing demonstrations. Also,
the area has Old McDonalds Farm, a children's adventure farm.
A town distinguished by a number of handsome stone buildings. An 1858 Gothic school house is one of the most striking. The town stands near Meadowbank Lake which holds trout. The Agricultural Show is held here in March.
