Rosebery, Tasmania

Rosebery is one of the larger towns on Tasmania's west coast. Gold, lead and zinc mining once florished in the area, but now only the zinc mine remains
. Lake MacKintosh and Lake Murchison have good trout fishing. Just south of Rosebery are the Montezuma Falls, the state's tallest at 104m.

Mining company town on the Peiman River, set in magnificent mountain scenery with a main street sloping towards the river. Treatment plants recover zinc, lead, copper, silver and gold. Montezuma Falls, among the most spectacular in Tasmania, can be seen after a 5km walk.
