Ulverstone, Tasmania
Near
the towns of Burnie (to the west) and Devonport (to the east), Ulverstone
has become the preferred residential and business location for people seeking
ready access to the town’s larger urban neighbours.
Winding River Leven and the parkland along its banks makes a pretty setting for this neat little town. In the riverside park a fountain puts on a 15 minute show of jet combinations without repeating itself. Australia’s first axemen’s contest was held here in 1874. There is a Rodeo held here in February and the Agricultural Show is in November.
