Ballan,

Located on the Werribee River, Ballan is small town which attracted fortune-hunters
that travelled through the region on their way to the Ballarat goldfields.
It is located 78 km’s north west of Melbourne.
The town has the Ballan Autumn Festival. Ballan has a mineral spring, which
is open all year round. Small town on the Werribee River noted for its mineral springs. Remains of the old town of Morrisons can be seen at Morrisons Valley. The Moorabool River flows through the vale.
