Visit Daylesford where you can try the mineral waters straight from the springs, feed the ducks and water birds on the lake. The lake also offers fishing for trout and redfin and is the starting point for many of the beautiful bush walks or just a stroll around the lake. Synonymous with mineral baths this hill town near Lake Daylesford goes back to 1837 with gold being discovered here in1851. The gold dried up but the eternal mineral springs ensured continued prosperity.
