Located in Victoria's Western District only forty minutes from the Twelve Apostles on the Great Ocean Road, and Warrnambool central to the Grampians and Ballarat Goldfields Tourist precincts. Follow its winding trail through the lush Otway rainforests, to the breathtaking, windswept drama of the Shipwreck Coast.

For much of the way the road clings to the coastline, twisting and turning, with every bend revealing a sight more spectacular than the last. See the grand architecture where the ocean has carved mighty arches, caverns and coves from the rock. Then follow its trail past soothing estuaries and gentle bays.

This flourishing town at the foot of Mt Leura is the centre of rich dairying and merino wool country. Lake Gnotuk and Lake Bullen Merri are crater lakes whose water levels differ by a phenomenal 45m. Mt Leura takes in sweeping views. To the south-east, Lake Purrumbete is alive with quinnat salmon. The Camperdown Show is held in November.
