The area surrounding Pemberton is famous for its Karri forests, the Warren
National Park having some of the best accessible virgin Karri trees some as
high as 89m.
Albany
has spectacular coastal scenery and excellent fishing and two nearby National
Parks. Esperance with its brilliant blue waters is home to the renowned Pink
Lake.
The town, principal port on the WA south coast, is surrounded by hills and sits on Princess Royal Harbour in sheltered King George Sound, almost twice as large as Sydney Harbour. Two natural wonders, the Gap and the Natural Bridge, stand side by side 16km from Albany on Frenchman Bay Road. Albany celebrates Lockyer’s landing every December 26 with Amity Day.
